Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate MUST have past Medical Office experience, have excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional patient service.
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our medical office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-out patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Verify patient information and update electronic medical records (EMR) using medical office systems such as ECW - Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner - Assist with insurance verification - Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations - Provide general administrative support to medical staff as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred - Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable - Proficiency in using medical office systems, such as ECW, is preferred - Strong knowledge of front desk operations is a plus - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical administrative support is preferred - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues - Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
