This position can be full-time or part-time.
The Front Office Specialist is the first person our patients see so we're looking for someone who is friendly and outgoing who will treat our patients like the true treasures they are!
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and check them in to the office and then out again at the front desk Ensure patient paperwork gets filled out and then correctly entered into the system Message doctors and medical assistants as needed Look up patient accounts and collect any monies due at the time of the appointment Send out consult notes and send office notes to referring doctors Mailing out new patient letters to all new patients Close out at the end of the day and make sure money is balanced Scan ALL documents including (ABNs, patient paperwork, DME forms, etc)
Qualifications:
This position requires an up-to-date understanding of billing and reimbursement procedures and requirements and the ability to research disputes and denials Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment Ability to multitask and prioritize daily tasks Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external vendors and staff Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members This position may, at times, require travel to our other office locations to assist with staff coverage.
