Position Summary We are currently searching for a new Registered Dental Assistant for Surgery Center.
We are looking for someone who has the passion, skills, and drive to help patients achieve beautiful smiles and better health! We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, anticipate the next step, take initiative and be able to make dental procedures as smooth as possible.
The Surgery Center RDA will assist the dentist in 3 Surgery Centers on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Thursday of the month and each Friday.
The Surgery Centers are in Davidson County (2 in the Nashville area and 1 in the Hermitage area).
Responsibilities Must be able to work in a pediatric, child friendly environment Know and adhere to all policies and procedures required by the surgery centers Prepare rooms for dental treatment by following prescribed procedures and protocols Maintain infection control practices in accordance with OSHA standard, CDC standards, and industry standards Follow all PPE requirements, proper infection control, and sterilization policies Review all operative patients charts Assist the dentist in all dental procedures Assist in the disinfection and sterilization of the operating room and instruments Must maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete the CE Credits required by state Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Current State of TN RDA License Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification Radiology Certification Dental office experience preferred Physical Demands Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching and sitting May be required to stay in a position for long periods of time Occasional lifting; moving up to 25 pounds Manual dexterity and manipulation Since this position does require working with children, a criminal background check will be required.
