General Summary
This position is responsible for the safety and productivity of all production employees staffed on designated shift and area, as well as set-up, adjustment and or minor repair to the EAM and Wave-Jet Machine. Additionally, the Team Leader position is accountable for ensuring that production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameters and for participation in both the hiring and performance management processes.
Primary Responsibilities
1.Experience with the operation of high-speed printing equipment.
2.Serve as alternate operator of Wave-jet printer and EAM autotagger, including performing setups adjustments and minor PM and repair.
3.Basic knowledge of equipment set-up, adjustment, and or minor repair of all others that may apply
4.Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift
5.Enforce all safety and processing procedures
6.Enable effective communications between supervisor, management and operators
7.Train new employees and coach existing employees
8.Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
9.Investigate and report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance, attendance, UPPH)
10.Manufacture and prepare products as necessary
11.Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas
12.Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
13. Print Machine Set up experience.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1.Quality Control
2.Intimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes
3.Knowledge of MSDS
4.Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule
5.In depth understanding of established ModusLink values and strategy
6.Basic understanding of computers
7.Good oral and written communication skills
8.Basic math skills
9.SAP skills are a Plus
Education and Experience
Bilingual preferred
High Speed Printing Operator experience preferred
Forklift certification preferred
Equipment set-up and adjustment preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 50lbs
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
Must be able to operate forklift safely
Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
Must be able to work Over Time each day as the schedule changes
